Fix an activation error

Check phone settings and carrier forwarding support when MaskOff cannot activate.

Start with the guided setup check before changing settings manually.

  1. Open MaskOff Settings → Check my setup.

  2. Decline the test call when it arrives.

  3. If the check fails, follow the remediation steps shown in the app.

If you still need to reactivate

  1. Turn off Wi-Fi Calling in your phone settings.

  2. On iPhone, turn off Live Voicemail and Call Screening if those settings are present.

  3. Temporarily disconnect from Wi-Fi so the activation call uses your mobile network.

  4. Restart your phone.

  5. Open MaskOff and repeat the guided activation, including dialing the activation code shown in the app.

Metro customers: Complete the carrier prerequisite in the dedicated Metro guide, then return to MaskOff.

If activation still fails, your plan may not support conditional call forwarding. Ask your carrier to confirm that forwarding when busy is enabled on your line. Some prepaid plans are not compatible.

If your carrier confirms support and the setup check still fails, contact MaskOff support from the app and include the error shown on screen, your carrier, and your device type.
